Get your youthful facial contours back
Injectable fillers like those in the JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® families of products are becoming an increasingly popular method to counteract the natural effects of aging, as well as add definition and volume to areas of the face.
By replenishing hydration to aging skin and filling in wrinkles, injectable fillers restore a smoother and more youthful complexion through minimally invasive, long-lasting treatments. We also commonly administer fillers to patients of all ages who are interested in creating fuller, poutier lips.

How it works
At Levitt Medical Aesthetics, board-certified Dr. Scott Levitt carries the entire line of both Restylane and JUVÉDERM products, providing patients with a variety of options from FDA-approved and trusted brands.
Each specific formulation of Restylane and JUVÉDERM offers distinct advantages and uses, and Dr. Levitt will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan for fillers in Albany that matches your aesthetic concerns.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally-occurring sugar molecule that holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water and keeps skin hydrated and smooth. Over time, the body’s natural supply of hyaluronic acid depletes, leaving skin vulnerable to wrinkles and sagging. With HA-based injectable fillers like the ones we offer, Dr. Levitt can directly supply hyaluronic acid to rehydrate specific areas of the face and counteract wrinkles.
Injectable fillers can also add definition or extra volume to certain areas of the face, like the lips and cheeks.
What to expect
Results following an injectable filler appointment are immediately evident, as the product instantly restores hydration and volume to the targeted area.
Swelling and other side effects may temporarily affect the visibility of results, however. Final results develop in about one week, as lingering side effects continue to fade.
Each type of filler has a different lifespan, with most lasting between six months and one year.
Some fillers can last for 18 months or even up to two years, however, Dr. Levitt will explain the variations between each type during an initial consultation. We require regular maintenance appointments at our Albany, OR office for sustained results, as the body will gradually absorb the filler over time.
Patients can resume working and strenuous activities after their injectable filler appointments.
But may want to wait 24 hours for noticeable side effects to fade. Otherwise, no downtime is necessary.

FAQ
To ensure patient comfort during injectable filler appointments, Dr. Levitt uses one of the strongest topical anesthetics available. In addition, although most patients do not find it necessary, we can administer injectable lidocaine upon request. Most of the fillers in the Restylane and JUVÉDERM lineups already contain lidocaine in their formula, however, and will actively numb the treated areas during injection. Dr. Levitt also uses cannulas, when appropriate, to minimize pain, bruising, and risk of complications for patients.
JUVÉDERM and Restylane are simply different brands of FDA-approved dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid. Both brands make several different fillers to address a wide variety of concerns. We carry the full line of JUVÉDERM and Restylane fillers, including JUVÉDERM Ultra, Vollure, Voluma, Restylane Refyne, Defyne, Kysse, and many others! Some fillers are better than others for certain areas, and Dr. Levitt will help you choose the best option for you!
Though we rarely need it, hyaluronic acid fillers, such as JUVÉDERM and Restylane can be quickly dissolved using an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. This acts to disperse hyaluronic acid, speeding up the natural breakdown of the dermal filler.
Both treatments involve injections, but Dysport or BOTOX relaxes muscle movement that results in wrinkles while dermal fillers simply plump out and smooth wrinkles. Often, we combine these treatments to provide a refreshed, rejuvenated look for patients.
