A risk-free alternative to surgery
While a facelift is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries available, you may not know that it is considered extremely painful, carries the longest recovery time (several months), and it’s very invasive, requiring you to go under general anesthesia for 2 to 4 hours.
Additionally, if you only need to address mild facial sagging and wrinkles, a facelift surgery may be too much for you. For those interested in less dramatic or invasive methods, Levitt Medical Aesthetics proudly offers the Vampire Facelift® in Albany, OR.

How it works
If you feel your youthful appearance is fading, but you’re not quite ready to commit to cosmetic surgery, we have a solution.
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP has traditionally been used to treat sports injuries, hair loss, tendon injuries, osteoarthritis, and postsurgical wounds for years, but one of the most recent breakthrough applications is its use in cosmetic and sexual health fields. There is a new, noninvasive treatment designed to achieve similar results of a facelift, without the surgery required in traditional facelifts. This is done by extracting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own blood and injecting it directly into the face.
A cosmetic vampire procedure is first a process of purifying blood into PRP to create a high density of growth factors in a solution. We extract a small amount of blood from your arm in a process similar to any other blood sample or donation you have given in the past. Then, the purification of the blood is typically done via rapid rotation in a centrifuge which separates the desired components of the blood and increases the number of growth factors in the solution by a factor of 10.
To complete the treatment, we redeliver the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to your face along with hyaluronic acid filler, like JUVÉDERM® or Restylane®. Alone, hyaluronic acid fillers temporarily lift the skin and replenish the lost volume in your face. The Vampire Facelift allows us to take these results a step further, with immediate results from the fillers and long-term effects of PRP growth factors like increased blood flow, new collagen and elastin growth, and increased fatty tissue.
If you feel your youthful appearance is fading, but you’re not quite ready to commit to cosmetic surgery, we have a solution.
What to expect
Recovery after a Vampire Facelift is minimal and shouldn’t last longer than 72 hours.
Most patients will experience some degree of itching, redness or swelling. To ensure proper healing, limit exercise for the first week and drink plenty of water.
We typically expect the effects of the Vampire Facelift to last a year or more, though everyone’s body processes fillers differently.
Patients who take steps to protect their skin have better results. A healthy lifestyle of regular exercise, getting plenty of sleep, avoiding tobacco, daily use of SPF 30+, etc. is recommended. Dr. Levitt can discuss your lifestyle with you and make suggestions or product recommendations to help you maximize your results.
Those experiencing severe facial aging and loose skin may want to consider facelift surgery to address these concerns rather than a Vampire Facelift.
Additionally, the procedure can’t sculpt the jawline, neck, and lower face the way a surgical facelift or neck lift does.
Before & after
FAQ
Healthy men and women over the age of 35 who experience moderate facial sagging, wrinkles, dullness, and more can benefit from a Vampire Facelift. If your face has significant signs of aging, you may not achieve your desired results with a Vampire Facelift and may want to consider surgical intervention instead.
Despite the daunting name, patients should feel minimal discomfort since we use numbing cream on the treatment area. Sensitive patients may need extra numbing cream. In addition to numbing cream, we also offer self-administered Pro-Nox to minimize discomfort and anxiety.
The Vampire Facelift consists of facial injections, including HA fillers, that help reshape or plump up problem areas on the face, while the Vampire Facial is a topical application that improve skin tone and the surface skin. Both procedures use PRP derived from the patient’s blood. The main difference between the two is that with the Vampire Facial, instead of directly injecting your PRP into the face, we use microneedling device, such as our Rejuvapen NXT®, to create microscopic pinpoint injuries to the face. We then apply the PRP directly onto the surface of the skin. This process was famously used on reality TV star Kim Kardashian and went viral in 2014.
Yes. Dr. Levitt recommends repeating the procedure after 12 to 18 months if you want to maintain the results.
